Who
is St.Michael?
In
the Bible, St. Michael is distinguished by his extraordinary spiritual
beauty. The Jews considered him the prince of the angels, protector
of the chosen people, and a symbol of the potent divine assistance towards
Issail.
In the Old Testament, he is mentioned 3 times, in particular in the
Book of Daniela, where he is indicated as the defender of the Jews and
the supreme head of the celestial army which defends the poor and the
persecuted.
The name Mi-ca-el means " He who is like God".
He has the title of arcangel, along with Gabriel and Rafael.
In the new testament, he is represented as the adversary of the devil,
the winner of the last battle against Satan and his followers.
